| We hope that this
website will be of interest to anyone researching their Aldous
family history. We are continuing to add information as
and when it becomes available. The emphasis is on the
family groups located in the North of England, but we will be
glad to add any family group, at home or abroad, that can be linked to our family tree.
You will find information about the
origin of the family name, details
of our Suffolk origins and the
family groups that decided to make the
move north and to other regions
during the Industrial Revolution of the mid-nineteenth century.
Our family
tree is extensive, it includes around 700 family groups and
1,400 individuals connected to the Aldous's of Fressingfield in
the fifteenth century. Much of this information must be
attributed to the late Douglas Aldous of Weybread.
We will also try to provide you
with useful links to other relevant websites.
