Joseph Aldous, Son of Edgar moved to Rochdale around 1910 were he worked in the cotton mills as a Spinner. The family first lived in the Wardle district before moving to Morley Street and then Collie Street, both in the Heybrook district. After retirement during the Second World War, Joseph worked at Wilby's sweet factory. The business was owned by the Whittles family to whom the son of the owner, Ernest Whittles, Joseph's daughter Elizabeth was married.[Aldous_4.FTW]
