Born in 1820 at Old Buckenham, Norfolk. Died 1903 aged 83 at 373 Cambridge Road, Bethnal Green where he was living with his daughter Edith Hardy. Married Sarah Blackburn born 1820 at Old Buckenham, Norfolk. He moved to Brixton in London were he worked as a shoemaker. Shown on 1881 census living at 93 Effra Parade, Lambeth with two children still living at home. This address appears on many documents. Sarah died in 1886 aged 66 in Lambeth. William remarried in 1890 Mary Brewer a widow. Marriage certificate held, address was 93 Effra Parade, and his father was confirmed as Zephaniah. Mary died in 1901.
